Workers' Compensation Income Benefits

If you have been hurt on the job, and have missed 7 days of work as a result of the injury, you are entitled to apply for temporary total weekly income benefits. If approved, the amount of benefits you will receive is based on a formula:

  • Calculate your average weekly income based on your average income from the 13 weeks prior to your injury
  • Depending on the date of your injury, you may receive weekly benefits totaling two-thirds of the amount of your calculated average, up to $450 each week

Other Income Benefits

Although workers' compensation can help replace temporary and total loss of income, workers' compensation laws also provide for other forms of income benefits:

  • Temporary partial benefits: If you have returned to work but at reduced hours or wages, workers' compensation temporary partial benefits supplement two-thirds of the difference of your wage loss.
  • Permanent compensation: If you have suffered a permanent injury and have achieved your maximum medical improvement, you may be entitled to permanent compensation for your loss, typically in the form of one lump sum.

Obtaining the Benefits You Deserve

When you are injured at work and need to apply for benefits, there are many obstacles you may need to overcome, such as applying for SSD or SSI. Whether you are in need of permanent or temporary disability benefits, we will work to overcome the challenges to get you all of the workers' compensation benefits you are entitled to.
